These terms form the agreement between your organisation and Aster for accessing and using our platform, including our web and mobile apps.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Aster's marketing site, web application, mobile applications, and related services (together, the "Service"), provided by Oryx Digital Sdn Bhd, trading as Aster ("Aster", "we", "us"), a company incorporated in Malaysia. By creating a workspace, downloading our app, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation, and "you" refers to that organisation.
These Terms, together with any order, plan, or policy referenced here, form a binding agreement between you and Aster. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for your workspace, the users you invite, the accuracy of the information you provide, and keeping login credentials secure. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use of your account.
You retain all rights to the data you upload, including candidate resumes and applicant information. You grant Aster the rights needed to host and process that data to provide the Service.
You are responsible for having a lawful basis and the right to upload and process the candidate data you add, and for using Aster in line with applicable employment, privacy, and anti-discrimination law. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement.
You must use the Service lawfully and as intended. You may not attempt to breach security, disrupt the Service, scrape at scale, reverse engineer the platform, or use it to store or transmit unlawful, harmful, or infringing content. Prohibited uses are described in our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Aster uses AI to screen resumes and to score and rank candidates against the roles you define. These outputs are decision support only. You are responsible for reviewing them and applying human judgement to every hiring decision. Aster does not guarantee that any score, ranking, or extracted detail is complete or free of error.
Paid plans and any purchased credits are described on our pricing page and in-app. Subscriptions renew automatically each cycle unless cancelled before renewal, and fees are non-refundable except where required by law. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are also subject to that store's terms, and are billed and refunded through the store. We may change pricing on reasonable notice, effective from your next renewal.
The Service integrates with third parties such as Google, Microsoft, and payment and infrastructure providers. Your use of those integrations is subject to their own terms, and Aster is not responsible for third-party services.
We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, add, or remove features over time. We will give reasonable notice of material changes that adversely affect your use.
Aster and its licensors own all rights in the Service, including software, design, and trademarks. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service during your subscription. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service except as expressly permitted.
You may stop using the Service and close your workspace at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay, or use the Service in a way that risks harm to Aster or others. On termination, your right to use the Service ends and we will handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aster disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Aster does not warrant that the Service will be error-free or that its AI outputs will meet any particular hiring standard.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aster will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of Malaysia have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory consumer protections available to you locally. We may update these Terms from time to time; when we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
